Second Hand Rose features carefully selected home goods that have been reclaimed, reupholstered, refreshed, reinvented, and redesigned. The team at Second Hand Rose offers study, beautiful antique wooden furniture, retro upholstery, salvage goods, classic pieces of fine jewelry, and so much more.

2. Visit the Famous Evelyn Wine Bar 

If you are wondering where you can find a glass of wine after a fun day, this is the place for you. 

Evelyn Wine Bar is located in historic downtown Buffalo. This wine bar has been family-owned and operated for generations. The first owner was Evelyn, who one day dreamt of opening her own bar.  After having endless support from the locals, this dream started becoming a reality. 

The Evelyn Wine Bar’s wine menu is a thoughtful selection of Minnesota local, national, and international wines. They also offer alternative drink choices such as craft beers and sodas. 

Be sure to check out their food variety, such as soups, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, and cheese plates. They are open Tuesday to Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm. On weekends, they are open from noon to 9 pm. It is closed Sunday and Monday.

3. Check out the Buffalo Farmers Market 

The Buffalo Farmers Market is open from May to October. You are welcome any time from 8 am to noon on Saturdays, and you will be guaranteed a wonderful time. 

There is no better place to get fresh and local food than at the farmers’ market. The first market happened in 2003 and has been happening every Saturday since. It is recommended you stop by the market early on the day to shop for organic fruits and vegetables. Every product will be on display. You might even experience some good old-fashioned live music.

6. Appreciate Some Meticulously Restored Vintage Cars

Do you love vintage cars? Then you can’t miss the impressive five-hundred acre Veit Automotive Foundation campus. The Veit Automotive Foundation is a historical museum and was officially opened in 1998. 

This museum is full of collectible vehicles such as Chevrolets, Cadillacs, and many more. However, this is not all you can see; there are artifacts and other automotive-adjacent collectible items as well.

The museum tours are open from May to October three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On these days, you can show up anywhere from nine in the morning to three in the afternoon.

You can experience seasonal shows such as ´MSRA Back to the 50’s Weekend` and ‘Gearhead Get Together during the summer months.` There are three different types of exhibits that are in three barns, respectively. These barns are extremely special because of their historical connection to the vehicles’ era.

7. Enjoy the Food and Fun at the Nearby Minnesota State Fair 

Every year around two million people from all over attend the Minnesota State Fair. Its famous slogan is “The Great Minnesota Get-Together.” 

It is the second-longest and largest annual competition fair in the entire U.S. It is second to the Texas State Fair and it lasts two times as long as the Minnesota State Fair. The state fair runs from August to September for twelve action-packed days. 

The Minnesota State Fair is located near the University of Minnesota in St. Paul. In 2019 there was a new record of people who participated in the fair. This annual gathering is a valuable opportunity for residents to show their art and cooking, new business, or services. 

You will be able to go on more than 60 rides, see any of the 200 shows and experience a diverse range of food. There are horses, cars, and livestock shows. When it comes to buying the tickets, you can find them on their website or buy them at the entrance on the day. General admission for children is free at all times, adults will pay sixteen dollars, and seniors and kids will pay two dollars less.

8. Have a Musical Adventure at Rotary Music Trail 

Rotary Music Trail is a beautiful family adventure. If you are looking for a relaxing day with your family, go to Sturges Park and play all the instruments you and your family can find along Buffalo Lake. 

Buffalo Rotary Club granted eleven instruments to the Rotary Music Trail. Each instrument is located at a different stop when you walk through the designated route. You can use this walk for exercise while listening to music.

9. Check Out the West Pulaski Park Golf 

Tim Mackey opened the West Pulaski Park Golf in 2001. 

This is a primarily flat yet oh-so-gorgeous disc golf course, with nine holes for you to complete at your own pace. It is a great place to take your family on a game day. There is a slight chance of wind that can make your experience more challenging. This place is famous among locals and prior tourists.

10. Take Pictures with Buffalo Statues 

Buffalo statues are a quick but fun family stop that you shouldn’t miss. It is called the Buffalo Roam Tour. 

In 2004, the Buffalo Championship Rodeo association organized businesses to decorate life-size buffalo statues around the city. Find out what makes each buffalo unique and how the locals decorate them. You can drive by and take photos. You are encouraged to share your experience on social media if you would like a map to start your buffalo hunt stop at the Chamber office.

This theater is home to many generations and friends who share memories and their talent. General admission varies depending on whether you are an adult, senior, student, or child.
