My family loves to entertain ourselves with a good old fashion family movie night. We will pop some popcorn, buy a treat and if I am feeling extra nice I will let the kids have a pop to drink. With Christmas break coming up fast I was thinking to myself we should plan a fun Family Christmas Break Movie Night. Here is a list of my top 10 DVDs to watch with kids while on their winter break.
1. Elf:
I love this movie. I often quote lines from it throughout the year.
2. Home Alone:
Who doesn’t like this slap stick Christmas comedy? I prefer the first one and tend not to watch the sequels.
3. The Santa Clause:
I like all of them. I think Tim Allen found his calling when he put on the big red suit.
3. Despicable me:
“Quite Fish!” Love the pet shark xoxo
4. Ice Age:
Always a great go to movie with toddlers around. Every single Ice Age gets a 5 star in this house.
5. Peter Pan:
This movie nailed it when they unlocked the magical fantasy place called Neverland.
6. Alice in Wonderland:
A wonderful story from when I was child has been updated to todays standards. Also, we don’t watch this with the younger ones. This is for Older kid movie night.
7. Finding Nemo:
This is now a family favorite. “Just keep swimming – as I was writing this Mikaela said Just keep blogging:)”
8. How The Grinch Stole Christmas:
We could all use an increase in heart around this world. I don’t mind the Jim Carrey Grinch, but I like the classic cartoon movie way more. Maybe it’s because I grew up watching the cartoon one every Christmas.
9. Facing the Giants:
This is a movie we can all watch over and over again. Good stuff!
10. The Muppets:
Fantastic movie for all age groups!! You might catch me singing some Muppet tunes while cleaning the house since I watched this 5 star movie.
I hope you all have a fun, safe and relaxing Christmas break.
