1. See a Show at the World’s Smallest Stadium
If you want to see a show, stop into Le Musique Room, proudly advertised as the world’s smallest stadium. Shows of all kinds and genres — both local artists and nationally touring groups — take place here each year in a beautifully intimate venue. There is a bar here as well as tables surrounding the stadium so you can eat and drink as you enjoy the show. Six to eight shows occur here every month and tickets are extremely affordable.
2. Play a Round of Golf
Golf lovers will enjoy swinging by Fox Hollow, St. Michael’s premier golf course. This 18-hole course offers a variety of challenges and terrain. Tee times are open for visitors to book but you can also come to enjoy regular events, such as group outings and catered games. If you are looking to improve your game, come and book a lesson with an on-site professional. Lessons are offered in both group settings and one-on-one.
3. Grab a Drink at Ditto’s Bar
Ditto’s Bar is a local watering hole in St. Michael with plenty of charm. If you are looking for a great place to grab a drink in the evening or even participate in a fun event, this is the place to be! You can find live music and bar trivia happening regularly as well as other fun group events, both large and low-key. Regulars get together weekly to watch “The Price is Right” and earn a round on the house if the wheel hits $100.
4. See a Movie in a Unique Cinema
St. Michael Cinema might just be one of the best-known attractions in town. This amazing building isn’t your average movie theater. Instead, it is the perfect way to enjoy a movie in style. With stadium seating and even extra-wide or rocking chairs, St. Michael cinema is all about luxury in movie viewing. You can also enjoy a movie from your car on the cinema’s drive-in screen.
5. Visit a Local Park
Minnesota is the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes, but it might as well be called the Land of Ten Thousand Parks! St. Michael is home to several beautiful local parks, which are a great place for all your favorite outdoor activities. These are popular spots for hikers, bikers, and nature lovers, but you’ll also find plenty of community activities and events! 6. Tour a Historic Farm
In nearby Elk River lies Oliver Kelley Farm. This historic farmstead dates from 1850 and much of it remains to this day. Here, you will find part working 21st-century farm, part historical reenactment. Visitors can tour the historic house and see chores done just as they were in the 19th century, even helping to pump water and prepare meals. You can also see the animals and learn about how they are fed and cared for. This is a great destination for visitors of all ages!
7. Race Go-Karts

ProKART Indoor Racing in nearby Maple Grove offers year-round opportunities to race both indoors and outdoors. The track also offers temporary go-kart licenses as well as all the safety equipment you need to enjoy the ride.
8. Splash at a Water Park
A short car ride away from St. Michael is Elk River, where you can find the Otsego Hotel. Aside from offering excellent accommodations, Otsego Hotel is home to Wild Woods Water Park. This water park offers family-friendly water fun, but not exactly in the sun. In fact, the entire water park is located indoors, including a splash pad, lazy river, toddler pool, and waterslide. The poolside pub is at hand to serve up snacks and beverages!
9. Learn About the History of Cars
If you love classic cars, the St. Michael area is the place to be! Ellingson Classic Car Dealer in Rogers hosts an annual car show where you can view and learn about vintage cars from before 1982. This fascinating summer event is a favorite, drawing visitors from far and wide. All the proceeds from the car show go to local charities, so you can donate to a good cause while seeing some of the most fascinating car models you may have never seen before.
10. Raise a Glass at a Local Brewing Company
AEGIR Brewing Company in nearby Elk River is the best place to find delicious locally-made craft beers. You’ll also find unique liquors and cocktails as well as gluten-free and non-alcoholic options. There is something for everyone at AEGIR Brewing Company. The watering hole hosts regular events, including live music, food trucks, bar trivia, and karaoke. Run by two brothers and only open since 2018, AEGIR is a fresh, new bar that is designed around great drinks and great times.
11. Visit an Escape Room
Escape rooms are becoming more and more popular around the United States, and the St. Michael area is no exception! If you love solving puzzles, make sure to make an appointment at Mystery Chambers in Elk River. This one-of-a-kind escape room company offers a variety of themed rooms and locations, including mystery options and seasonally themed rooms. If you love thrift shopping and antiques, St. Michael is a great place to be. The surrounding towns are a haven of thrift stores, where you can find a wide variety of antiques and collectibles.
